Verse of the Day: Ephesians 1:5-6 NKJV
“having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
What an incredible privilege it is to be accepted by God! This acceptance means far more than just being justified in His sight. In fact, it speaks to the idea that we are the objects of God's deep delight and love. Imagine that—God takes pleasure in us, though we are mere mortals, sinners, and broken. But this acceptance is only possible in Christ.
Many Christians mistakenly tie their sense of being accepted by God to their feelings or spiritual state. When they feel uplifted and close to God, they assume they are accepted. But when they struggle, feel downcast, or face temptation, they fear they have fallen from God’s favour. Yet, the truth is that our acceptance is not based on our fluctuating emotions, but on Christ, who never changes. He is always perfect, always beloved by God, and it is in Him that we stand secure.
Believer, rejoice in this unshakable truth: you are accepted in Christ! Even when you look within yourself and find nothing worthy of praise, look to Jesus and see His perfect worthiness. Yes, your sins may weigh on you, but remember that God has already cast those sins away. Though you wrestle with temptation, you are accepted in the One who has already won the victory over evil.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for accepting me in Christ, despite my flaws and failings. Help me to rest in the knowledge that my acceptance is rooted in His perfect work, not in my emotions or circumstances. May I find joy in this truth and live in a way that honours my Saviour
