Verse of The Day: Romans 8:17 NKJV
“and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
When we place our faith in Christ, we enter into a profound unity with Him. This connection means that His concerns become ours, and His mission becomes our purpose. We share in His love for people, striving to see the broken restored and the world renewed. His longing for the glory of the Father shapes our prayers and actions, as we eagerly cry out, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done.”
We also share in Christ’s sufferings, not by enduring the cross as He did, but by standing with Him in a world that opposes His truth. The world’s rejection of Him becomes our cross to bear, and we find joy even in being misunderstood or ridiculed for His sake.
Our union with Christ extends to His work, where we minister to others in love and truth, and to His joy, as we celebrate His victories and triumphs. The joy of knowing Christ, of sharing in His mission and seeing His purposes fulfilled, is an unparalleled delight that fills us with hope and anticipation for the day we will reign with Him.
Believer, do you feel the fullness of your fellowship with Christ? Embrace this deep connection in love, suffering, and joy. Let your life mirror His, as His life transforms yours.
