Verse of The Day: Galatians. 4:19
"My little children, for whom I labour in birth again until Christ is formed in you"
Paul speaks like a spiritual parent, expressing deep care and costly commitment. His concern is not behaviour modification or outward religion, but inner transformation. Faith matures when Jesus’ life, character, and priorities take residence in the heart. This shaping process is rarely quick or comfortable. It involves correction, patience, and persistence—both from those who guide and those being guided.
Spiritual growth resembles formation, not information. God is not merely adding knowledge; He is crafting likeness. Through obedience, trials, and surrender, the Holy Spirit steadily molds believers to reflect Christ. This work continues until love replaces pride, humility overcomes self-interest, and grace governs responses.
When growth feels slow, remember formation takes time. God is committed to finishing what He started. Those who invest in others spiritually mirror this divine patience, walking alongside until maturity becomes visible.
Reflection
Where do I see Christ’s character developing in my life?Which areas still resist His shaping hand?
Prayer
Lord, continue Your work within me. Shape my thoughts, desires, and actions to resemble Your Son. Grant patience during the process and grace to welcome Your correction. Use my life to encourage growth in others. Amen.
