Verse of The Day: Colossians 3:1
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God”
New life in Christ reshapes our inner compass. Resurrection power does not merely promise heaven later; it redirects our desires now. When Jesus rose, He lifted our perspective beyond temporary wins, daily anxieties, and earthbound priorities. Fixing our hearts upward is an intentional practice, choosing eternal values over fleeting distractions. Where Christ reigns, hope governs. When our focus rises, our actions follow. We begin to love differently, decide wisely, and endure faithfully. A lifted gaze produces a grounded life.
Choosing an upward focus is a daily discipline, not a one-time decision. Each morning presents countless invitations to drift back into old patterns of fear, pride, or self-reliance. Yet grace continually calls us higher, reminding us who we belong to and where our true citizenship lies. As we surrender our schedules, ambitions, and reactions to God, He reshapes our vision. Over time, heaven’s priorities quietly influence our speech, attitudes, and responses. What begins as a conscious choice slowly becomes a transformed way of living.
Reflection:
What currently holds your attention most strongly, is it pressures below or promises above? Consider how your choices might shift if your thoughts were anchored in God’s kingdom rather than immediate outcomes. Today invites a realignment of focus, not escape from responsibility, but renewal of purpose.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for sharing Your risen life with me. Reorient my mind toward what honours You. Help me release distractions that pull my heart downward. Teach me to live with eternity in view, reflecting Your rule through humility, obedience, and love. Strengthen me to seek what pleases You daily. Amen.
