Verse of The Day: John 7:38
“He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Faith in Jesus does more than help us survive difficult days. It opens our hearts to a life that carries God’s presence, peace, and renewal.
Jesus was speaking to people who understood thirst. They knew what it meant to long for water in a dry place. Yet He was pointing beyond physical thirst. He was inviting them into a life where the Spirit of God would not only satisfy them, but also flow through them to refresh others.
Many times, we ask God to fill us because we feel empty, tired, or spiritually dry. That is a good prayer. But Jesus shows us that His desire is not only to fill us for ourselves. He wants His life within us to touch our words, our attitude, our decisions, and the people around us.
When Christ is truly at work in a person, something begins to flow. Grace flows where there was bitterness. Peace flows where there was anxiety. Encouragement flows where there was silence. Love flows where the heart once felt closed.
You may not feel like a river today. You may feel like a small cup. But the source is not your strength. The source is Christ. Keep believing. Keep coming to Him. Keep making room for the Holy Spirit. What God pours into you can become life for someone else
Reflection:
What is flowing from my heart in this season? Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to refresh me and bless others through me?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, fill my heart with Your life again. Let Your Spirit work deeply in me and flow through me to bring peace, hope, and encouragement to others. Amen.
