Verse of The Day: Isaiah 26:3
“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
Peace is something many people long for, especially when life feels uncertain, noisy, or overwhelming. Sometimes the pressure is not only around us, but also within us. Our thoughts run ahead, our hearts become unsettled, and we begin to imagine outcomes that may never happen.
Isaiah reminds us that true peace is not found in everything being perfect around us. It is found in keeping our hearts fixed on God. This does not mean we ignore real concerns or pretend everything is fine. It means we choose where our confidence rests.
When the mind stays on God, fear does not have the final word. Anxiety may knock, but it does not have to take over. Trust becomes the anchor that steadies us when circumstances are shifting.
God’s peace is not fragile. It is not dependent on good news, easy days, or clear answers. It is the quiet assurance that He is present, faithful, and in control. The more we turn our thoughts back to Him, the more our hearts learn to rest.
Today, when your mind begins to wander into worry, gently bring it back to the Lord. Speak His truth over your situation. He is able to keep you steady.
Reflection:
What thoughts have been stealing your peace lately? How can you intentionally turn your mind back to God today?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to trust You with the things I cannot control. Teach my heart to rest in Your faithfulness. When my thoughts become anxious, draw me back to Your presence and fill me with Your peace. Amen.
