Choose The Narrow Way

Verse of The Day: Matthew 7:13

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.”

Not every popular road is the right road. Jesus spoke about two ways. One is broad, comfortable and crowded. It allows us to follow our desires without asking where they are taking us. The other is narrow. It requires us to trust Christ, surrender our own way and follow Him even when His path is different from what everyone around us chooses.

The narrow gate is not about earning salvation through difficult religious rules. Jesus Himself is the way to the Father. We enter through Him by faith, and then we learn to walk with Him.

Following Jesus will sometimes mean saying no when others say yes. It may mean forgiving when you would rather remain angry, choosing purity when compromise seems normal, telling the truth when dishonesty would be easier, or obeying God when nobody else understands your decision.

The crowd cannot decide what is true. Something does not become right simply because many people accept it.

Jesus invites us to look beyond what is easy now and consider where the road eventually leads. The Christian life is not simply about choosing what feels good today. It is about following the One who knows the way to life.

When the road feels narrow, remember who is leading you. Jesus is not merely pointing out the way. He is the Way.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for calling me to Yourself. Give me courage to follow You when Your way is different from the crowd. Help me to value Your truth above popularity, convenience and personal desire. Keep my heart close to You and teach me to walk in the way that leads to life. Amen.
