Verse of The Day: Matthew 5:6
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled."
Physical cravings remind us that life must be nourished continually. When the body is healthy, it regularly signals its need for food and water so strength and growth can continue. Our inner life works the same way. A vibrant walk with God is sustained by an ongoing desire for His presence and truth.
Pause and ask yourself: What am I longing for each day? Is my heart alert to God, or have other pursuits dulled that longing? A soul aligned with Him yearns to be refreshed, instructed, and shaped by His ways. We are invited not to live on yesterday’s encounter, but to seek fresh grace daily—receiving spiritual sustenance that renews our minds and anchors our lives.
Jesus reminds us that those who earnestly crave what is right before God will never be left empty. He alone satisfies the deepest longings of the heart.
Reflection:
What competes with your desire for God? How can you intentionally create space for Scripture, prayer, and worship today?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, awaken my heart to desire You above all else. Let my soul seek You with sincerity and consistency. Feed me with Your truth, refresh me by Your Spirit, and shape my life according to Your will. Remove every distraction that dulls my hunger for You. I trust that in seeking You, I will be fulfilled. Amen.
