Verse of The Day: Titus 3:14

“And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful.”

Christianity is not only about what we believe. It should also be seen in how we respond when people around us genuinely need help.

Paul tells Titus that believers must learn to devote themselves to good works. That word is important because generosity, service and practical care do not always happen automatically. We grow into them as we become more aware of others and allow the love of Christ to influence our choices.

Sometimes the opportunity to serve God is not dramatic. It may be helping someone through a difficult week, supporting a family facing hardship, encouraging someone who feels forgotten, giving our time, sharing what we have, or simply noticing a need that others have overlooked.

Good works do not earn our salvation. We are saved by grace. But the grace we have received should produce something visible in our lives.

Paul describes a life that ignores opportunities to help as unfruitful. God has placed resources, abilities, relationships and opportunities in our hands. Part of our Christian responsibility is asking, “How can what God has given me become useful to someone else?”

A fruitful life is not measured only by what we accomplish for ourselves, but also by how God's goodness reaches others through us.

Reflection:

Is there an urgent need around you that God may be inviting you to respond to? What has God placed in your hands that could become a blessing to someone else today?

Prayer:

Father, open my eyes to the needs around me. Teach me to serve willingly and generously. May my life produce fruit that brings help to others and glory to You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
