Verse of the Day: Psalm 34:8
”Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!”
Just as no one truly knows the flavour of a dish until they taste it, so it is with God’s goodness. The Psalmist invites us, “Taste and see that the Lord is good” (Psalm 34:8). This is not a call to observe from a distance or rely only on the experiences of others, but an invitation to encounter God personally.
God’s goodness is not theoretical; it is real, living, and meant to be experienced. When we trust Him, we step beyond knowledge into relationship. Trust is that first bite—it requires willingness and faith. As we place our fears, questions, and plans into His hands, we begin to experience His faithfulness in tangible ways.
Life’s journey is filled with moments of joy and seasons of uncertainty. In both, God invites us to trust Him deeply. When we do, His goodness becomes evident—not always by the absence of trouble, but by His presence within it. To taste and see is to walk closely with Him, confident that His character is good and His plans are secure.
Reflection:
Where in your life is God inviting you to trust Him more deeply? What would it look like to move from knowing about God’s goodness to personally experiencing it today?
Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for Your goodness. Help me to trust You with every part of my life. Teach me to surrender my worries and to experience Your faithfulness firsthand. Open my heart to truly taste and see that You are good. Amen.
