At The Throne of Grace
Verse of The Day: Hebrews 4:16
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Have you ever felt so overwhelmed by a situation that you did not even know what to pray? Perhaps you have made mistakes, struggled with the same weakness, or faced circumstances that left you feeling helpless.
The beautiful truth of Hebrews 4:16 is that God does not expect us to have everything together before approaching Him. He invites us to come with confidence, not because we have earned His attention, but because Jesus Christ has opened the way.
The preceding verses remind us that Jesus is our great High Priest who understands our weaknesses. He experienced temptation, yet remained without sin. Therefore, when we approach God through Him, we come before One who understands our struggles and is able to help us.
Notice that the invitation is to receive both mercy and grace. Mercy meets us where we have fallen short, while grace provides the help we need to keep going.
Sometimes, we allow guilt, fear, or a sense of unworthiness to keep us away from God. Yet these are the very moments when we need to draw near.
Whatever you are facing today, remember that the throne of grace is not a place of rejection for those who come through Christ. It is where we find divine help when human strength is insufficient.
Do not let your struggles drive you away from God. Let them remind you how much you need Him.
Reflection:
Are there situations in your life where guilt, fear, or personal struggles have kept you from approaching God confidently?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me access to Your presence through Jesus Christ. Help me to approach You with confidence, trusting in Your mercy and grace. Teach me to depend on You in every situation, knowing that Your help is always sufficient. In Jesus' name, Amen.
