The Evidence of His Presence
Verse of The Day: Acts 4:13
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realised that they had been with Jesus.”
Peter and John did not impress the religious leaders with qualifications, status, or polished speech. What stood out was something much deeper. Their courage carried the evidence of time spent with Jesus.
Being with Jesus changes a person.
Peter had once been afraid enough to deny knowing Christ. Now he stood before powerful men and spoke without fear. What happened? He had encountered the risen Christ, received the Holy Spirit, and continued walking in fellowship with the Lord.
This is what Christianity is meant to produce. Our relationship with Jesus should eventually become noticeable in the way we speak, respond to pressure, treat people, make decisions, and stand for truth.
People may never know how long you prayed this morning or how much Scripture you studied, but they can encounter the fruit of that fellowship through your life.
The goal is not to appear spiritual. It is to remain close enough to Jesus that His character becomes increasingly evident in us.
When we spend time with Him, courage replaces fear, grace influences our words, and conviction becomes stronger than the need for approval.
May people encounter something of Christ simply because they encountered us.
Reflection:
If someone observed my words, reactions, and choices today, would there be evidence that I have been with Jesus?
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, draw me into deeper fellowship with You. Let Your character be seen in my words, conduct, and decisions. Give me courage to represent Christ faithfully wherever You place me.
