The ONLY Way To The Father
Verse of The Day: John 14:6
“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Have you ever been on a journey and realised you were heading in the wrong direction? No matter how fast you travelled or how determined you were, you would never arrive at your intended destination without finding the right road.
The same is true of our relationship with God.
Many people sincerely desire to know God. Some pursue Him through religious activities, good deeds or personal efforts. Yet, Jesus makes something profoundly clear in today's Scripture. Knowing the Father is not something we achieve through human effort. It is made possible through Him alone.
Notice that Jesus did not say He would show us a way. He declared Himself to be the way. He is not merely a teacher pointing us towards God. He is the very One through whom we come to know the Father.
In Christ, we discover the truth about God and His eternal purpose. Through His death and resurrection, we receive the life that only God can give. What sin once separated, Christ has reconciled through His finished work.
This means Christianity is much more than following religious principles. It is about knowing and living in fellowship with the Father through His Son.
And here is something worth remembering: Jesus is not only the way by which we begin our journey with God. He remains the source of our daily fellowship, confidence and eternal hope.
Reflection:
Are you merely familiar with the teachings of Jesus, or are you growing in a personal relationship with the Father through Him?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for revealing Yourself through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help me to know You more intimately and to live daily in the reality of the life I have received in Christ. May my confidence always rest in Him and never in my own efforts. In Jesus' name. Amen.
